Meet at 300 Ski Bowl Road, Hunter, NY 12442
Join members from the Hunter Area Trail Coalition on this easy walk (approximately 1.5 miles) on the former Hunter Branch railroad bed adjacent to Ski Bowl Road in Hunter. Learn about the history of this branch of the railroad, the plants and animals that can be seen along the old railroad, and the growing trail network in the Town of Hunter with future connections to the Villages of Hunter and Tannersville. Attendees should dress for the weather, bring a filled water bottle, and wear appropriate footwear for walking on a trail. In the event of rain or inclement weather, this event will be postponed until Sunday, May 13th, and registered attendees will be notified by e-mail.
